Machine Vision Standards - Interchangeability or Compatibility?

To create a successful application, manufacturer interchangeability can certainly be an important advantage. However, what is clear is that maintaining this advantage is linked to conditions that have to be met but are only defined when setting up an application.
By contrast, the development of machine vision components in compliance with the specifications in “vision standards” is important enough to be used in more applications than before. For manufacturers, the desired objective thus tends to be “increased compatibility”, which is achieved automatically by using the standard vision protocols.
